Welcome to the 2012 international conference on the singular spectrum analysis (shortly, SSA) and its applications. The conference is going to be held in China-Beijing on May 17 to 20, 2012 . This conference follows the series of conferences on SSA; the first three have been hosted by Cardiff University in August 2008, December 2009, September 2010, and the last one was part of International symposium of forecasting in Jun 2011.

A growing number of new developments in the theory and methodology of SSA and new exciting applications of SSA will be discussed at the conference. The conference will hopefully be a major step in the establishment of long-term research collaboration among researchers in the area of time series analysis and forecasting.

The organizers are going to arrange the publication of selected papers presented in the conference in a special issue of a reputable statistical journal (several journals are currently being considered). So far the following journals have been confirmed:

1-Journal of Systems Science and Complexity (published by Springer, SCI journal with impact factor 0.58)

2- Journal of Information Technology and Decision Making (published by World Scientific, SCI and SSCI journal with impact factor 3.139).
